The black tapware is the latest fashion for bathroom decoration. You too dare, with a touch of modern elegance.
If you are looking for a different detail for your bathroom, original but elegant at the same time, the black faucet is an option that you should consider.
In today’s article we explain the different ways to combine it according to the style you want to give the bathroom. Take a look at these three proposals in which black faucets are the protagonists.
Three proposals for using black taps in the bathroom
1. A total black bathroom
The first proposal we present is a bathroom with black taps, in which black and straight lines are the protagonists. It is a minimalist bathroom, where functionality and essential design are the main features.
In this case, the black faucet is perfectly integrated, because it shares the same colour with the other elements of the bathroom.
Due to its size and curved lines, the faucet is always a key element, together with the sink. To break with this total black aesthetic, we opted for a marble shelf and a decorative floor plan.
This is the first proposal we want to present to you, to see how black can also be used in bathroom decoration. The result will be an original, elegant and aesthetically striking bathroom.
The only thing you need to take into account in this case is that totally black bathrooms are not suitable if they are located in a dark area of the house, with little light or small size. In this case, it is best to combine black faucets with lighter colours.
2. A bathroom decorated in grey scale
To decorate this second bathroom proposal we opted for a gray scale. From white to black and through the different shades of grey, the result is an original, modern and bright bathroom.
As far as the faucets are concerned, in this case simple, black and straight faucets have been installed. Each of them consists of two parts, the actual faucet and the mixer.
The style of this proposal is minimalist, but the same model of taps can perfectly adapt to other styles. Because of its simple design, this faucet is perfect for underground or industrial style decoration.
In this case, unlike the front, the faucet is even more protagonist, because it stands out in contrast to the lighter colors. All the colours around the faucet are in a shade of grey or white. However, the other decorative objects are reminiscent of black, completing the colour palette.
3. Black faucets in a bathroom of contrasts
The latest proposal to use black taps to decorate your bathroom is totally different from the first two. At Arrediamo we were literally won over, because it is an example of how black taps can be perfectly combined with other materials such as ceramics or wood.
- The black faucet can be combined with any other material and colour.
These taps, in addition to fulfilling their function, are also a decorative element. Being elements of large size, and a color that creates contrast with the rest of the bathroom, they become the real protagonists of the space.
In this case, as in the front ones, we chose to include other black elements, which create harmony throughout the room. These elements are a freestanding bathtub, with a black exterior, and a carpet that, in addition to completing the decoration, gives a welcoming touch to the bathroom.
The element that breaks the uniformity is, instead, the sink. It is a wooden piece of furniture that interrupts the monotony of black and white that dominates the room. This combination seemed particularly interesting to us because, although it is a completely different material, it goes perfectly with the black tapware.
A special touch with the black faucet
As you have seen, in the three examples of bathrooms that we have just presented to you, the black tapware – even if it is still little used – is an aesthetic option that adds a touch of elegance and originality.
Combining it with other decorative elements is simple because, as we have shown above, it goes well with any other material. Dare and mark the difference by choosing a black faucet as your decorative element.
